Waiver:

The standing waiver for Midwest Power is 15,000 ft.

Press/Photographers:

If you wish to take photos/videos BEYOND the designated spectator area, you must have a press vest, and sign a waiver of liability.  Please do not remain any closer than 75 feet from any rocket being launched!  The event specific press vests cost $20.00 and can be purchased at the Registration table.

All Terrain Vehicles / 4-Wheelers:

ATV/4Wheelers are welcomed at Midwest Power for transportation of fliers and projects to the pads, assistance with range operation, and limited rocket recovery.  Recreational ATV use will not be allowed.  While using an ATV/4-Wheeler for recovering rockets or range operations, please observe the following rules:

  • If using an ATV/4-Wheeler to recover a rocket, stay as far over on the main roads and DO NOT drive an ATV/4-Wheeler into the crop fields.
  • ATV/4-Wheelers may ONLY be used in the crop field in which we fly/park and CANNOT be taken into surrounding fields!
  • Conduct your ATV activities in a farmer and field friendly fashion.  Please remember that we are all guests on privately owned property.

Porta Potties/Garbage Dumpster

  • We have Porta Potties available and a large garbage dumpster.
  • Please do not place garbage in the Porta Potties.
  • Use the garbage dumpster for all trash.
  • Please treat our Princeton, IL launch site with respect, and pick up all trash including pieces of wrecked rockets and any refuse you see that may not be yours.

Rocket Recovery/Land Usage:

  • Never enter a field that is being harvested (has a combine or other machine in it).
  • If you need to trek through a field that has standing crops, do not knock the corn or beans over and tread lightly.  Try to walk within rows of corn and be as gingerly as possible.
  • Do not park your vehicle in any property owners driveway.
